(SNA FNDC)
I have been learning about SNA FNDC recently in Social studies. You may be thinking what does SNA FNDC stand for? It stands for a significant natural area in the far north district council. The point of SNA is to protect a certain area or habitat that is rich in native trees to our country. The purpose of this policy in the council's eye is to help protect and manage the small amount of native bush areas we have left in New Zealand. Around 1.4million hectares of northland land has been mapped and surveyed for SNA purposes.
There are good things and bad things to this. The good thing is it will protect our native bush and animals, however on the bad side the council are trying to steal land from people because they have native things on their land.
